Ubuntu is the answer.

pic05I ended up installing Ubuntu, as I thought I would. I got FreeBSD up and running… as far as the gnome desktop appearing then it locked. I tried for a couple of hours to monkey with it, then I decided it was not worth the hassle. So I installed Ubuntu and got my podcatcher running. Now I am working on trying to get the ATI video in/out working. I did get the network sharing up and running in no time. Ubuntu is so nice to work with and so customizable it is unreal. I had a comment from B about Mac osX, and my answer to that is no. OsX is the Mach kernel based on BSD. And as I found out BSD is a pain. Mac has a lot of problems with sharing and networking setups. Linux, which like BSD is a variant of the UNIX system. But Linux has sooo much open source software out there, that if you want to do something, there is a high chance that someone else does too and has started a program or is in the process of producing one.

So have a nice night. SD+LL/mlm
