As most people are familiar with, the saying about Iowa weather is just wait… it will change. And sure enough, as if proving not to dissappoint, the weather has changed dramatically once again. On Friday morning the temperature was in the mid 50’s and on Saturday mornig it was in the lower 30’s with high winds. A huge change.
Coming up on this week’s netcast I’ll be trying out a few new things to add. I am going to start a netcast of the week, radio station of the week, local site of the week, and webcam of the week selection. So i’ll see how that goes.
I read on the net from the AP that AMD’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) resigned. (click) It looks like CBS is going to continue to offer it’s series on the web, but are now looking for a way to generate advertising revenue. IBM is working on a new type of memory called ‘Racetrack” memory that of course is going to be better, faster, and stronger than before. Sorry I threw that last part in, kinda got swept up in 1070’s flashback of the Million Dollar Man.
As I sit here and just re-read that last paragraph, it made me realize that my daily entries are supposed to be about Rural Iowa Life, and any news worthy stuff of tid bits I’ll throw in my weekly netcast “Rural Iowa Speaks”. There are way too many tech and news sites out there. If you want to know about news and tech do what I do, I got to Google News, or the Associated Press and check it out.
Also some might have noticed that the photos link has disappeared, that is because as I prepare to move this site more into the general public view I want to keep some photos for family only. For those people I will send you an email when new photos are up.
