We are situated in SE Iowa, on the edge of a corn field. Just because we live in “the sticks” doesn’t mean we are out of touch. It is just the opposite in fact. I currently have 7 computers on a home network with a DSL connection, courtesy of my phone company, who hooks me up when I give them the money for the monthly bill. It’s not super fast but good enough and a helluva faster than dial up. I listen to several podcasts on my hour commute to work, and I watch several podcasts on my days off. I have several footprints on the web. I have been into computing since my Timex Sinclair back in 1981. I have had my own web pages and domains since 1997. So this is my site to speak out for rural Iowa, and what I think. BTW DMCIA stands for Des Moines County Iowa.
We all need to slow down and look around at all that is near us and appreciate those close to us. Slow Down & Live Life.
